Our home is the foundation of family and much of our lives. Because of this, choosing a real estate agent is a very personal endeavor. It’s important to find someone that understands you, your lifestyle and your unique requirements in a home. You need to trust their capabilities and professionalism. You need to find someone with whom you connect, as this person will be assisting you in one of life’s biggest decisions.
Here is some information about me that will hopefully help with your choice.
I grew up in Newport Beach, California and attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, along with a year abroad at the University in Madrid, Spain. I received Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Hispanic Civilization. A far cry from real estate, I know.
There is nothing like walking into a beautiful home. I recall 20 years ago, when I was working in the Media/Marketing industry, I spent many a weekend browsing through Open Houses. I loved to see how homes were decorated and the uniqueness of each space.
That connection with homes and the love of sharing my joy with others lead me away from in a career of media sales and management. I came to realize that my chosen career path in “Corporate America” left me unfulfilled. I realized how important it was for me to have a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Real estate is the perfect fit. It allows me to use my skills and expertise while connecting with and helping people on a very personal level.
South Florida offers an amazing diversity that keeps it fresh and exciting even after calling it home for nearly two decades. I am the proud mother of two amazing individuals. Francheska, is a former Valedictorian of her high school, having achieved both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Finance at University of Florida, she is a Financial Advisor. My son, Cisco trains for Jiu-jitsu, is an amazing Salsa/Bachata dancer, a 2018 graduate from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and soon to be student at Florida International University.. A bit of a travel enthusiast, I love experiencing the culture, architecture, art, food and wine from around the world. Travel is one of my passions and I have a lengthy list of exotic places I plan to explore.
I am very protective of my family, friends and my clients. It’s my job to ensure my clients get the perfect home for them at the best price possible. My negotiation skills are second to none and I continue to hone and craft my skills to provide an excellent experience
I have been an early adaptor of technology and am certified as an ePro, which means I am knowledgeable and keep abreast of the tools available to help market my seller’s homes. It allows me to identify and utilize technology that effectively streamlines much of the complex real estate process. This gives my clients a better overall experience when buying or selling a home. In addition to recently being licensed as a Real Estate agent in the state of California, I have also received the prestigious CIPS Designation, Certified International Property Specialist.
Continuing my education and staying involved in the real estate community is extremely important to me. Both allow me to offer an elevated level of service and expertise to the people who trust me to be their agent. I appreciate you taking a few minutes to getting to know me. Multi Media Specialist at The Blinder Group– Gloria worked with media companies around the country and internationally to help train their advertising sales staff to understand and effectively present successful multimedia programs to their advertisers. She produced guaranteed revenue through “four-legged” sales training/coaching calls with traditional sales representatives closing substantial new business!
Media Consultant at WPBF-TV25 ABC TV, Hearst Argyle. Sold broadcast television for local affiliates (ABC and Estrella TV) along with online advertising programs to agencies and direct clients. Responsible for developing compelling sales presentations by using both qualitative and quantitative research data to increase the station’s market share. Accomplishments include: top new business revenue producer in 2009, top revenue producer for Spanish language –Estrella TV.
Director of Online Advertising at CNI – Cox Newspapers Inc, The Palm Beach Post. Responsible for sales and operations of all online advertising products.. While in this position, advertising revenue doubled each year. Created an online sales training curriculum for the print team and introduced a Web Seminar series to local businesses, along with spearheading a new customer service email newsletter program. Instrumental in developing a print-to-Web advertising solution, along with helping to launch Spanish language publication La Palma. During my tenure the Post Website received the 2004 NAA Digital Edge Award for the best Real Estate Website, along with Presstime’s 2004 Best Practices Award for New Media.
Regional Sales Director at Cox Interactive Media. Directed the sales activity for three offices and fifteen employees. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and coaching sales team: (West Palm Beach-GoPBI.com, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale-SoFla.com Orlando-IcFlorida.com). Identified new business opportunities by analyzing industry activity and developing competitive sales strategies. Managed one of the largest revenue producing regions in the company. Transferred to another division of company when Online division folded.
Online Account Manager at The Miami Herald. Worked closely with management in creating sales material, presentations and determining rates for start-up Internet department of major local newspaper. I was personally responsible for generating 70% of the advertising revenue for the Miami Herald Online Services. Represented the company in numerous public speaking engagements (How to Market Your Business Online – Beacon Council, Internet 101- Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and Business Resources on the Internet – Byte Expo).
President at Glomar Enterprises. Managed an advertising agency that helped clients target the Hispanic market. Successfully ran this business for five years, until relocated to South Florida. Responsible for creating management systems and developing strategies to execute business plans. Developed new business opportunities for the agency and supervised a staff during implementation and evaluation of all campaigns.
Account Executive at Telemundo Media. Helped local/retail businesses with their television advertising campaigns. Sold television advertising along with non-traditional marketing programs. Increased the stations’ share via research analysis, effective packaging and by building client relationships. Managed the highest billing local retail advertiser and created new advertising programs that grew revenue. Developed and implemented the stations’ first successful vendor program generating over $250,000 in additional revenue.
